Gus

Gus is a happy-go-lucky dog who pulls very well. He's not as athletic as his sister, Gaiya---she's as athletic of a dog as I've owned---but his head seems to be better. There have been times when Gaiya has tried to convince me that the team has worked hard enough and we should turn around. Both love work, but as much as any Siberian I've owned---there's a low bar---Gus wants to please me.

A trait that he does share with his sister is he likes to talk. Of my racing dogs, these two and Omaha are the most inclined to strike up a conversation with me. And, in a longstanding tradition of my sleddogs, particularly the males, he's a big time lap dog who loves a hug.
