Tanner (2004-2015)

Tanner is another dog who’s demeanor in the yard is deceptive. I figured him to be a light weight mentally. Even after I started running him, I didn’t think he was serious enough. By the time we finished Race to the Sky with his tugline being the most consistently taught of any of my dogs, I started to reconsider this. Tanner is affectionate to a fault. He’ll definitely knock a person over to give them a kiss or two, and these are submissive. But they’re also playful. I’ve never actually tried, but I’m pretty sure Tanner would play fetch. It's great running him and Quid as a brace. I swear they compete to see who can hold off breaking into a lope the longest. Now that Tanner is in his prime and Quid's a little past his, I figure Tanner has the edge. Still, we'll see. Tanner is a member of the Silly Lake Lap Dog Association.
